It looks like we will finally breathe a sigh of relief against the fuel prices that have been burning our pockets every time we approach the pump for weeks. A noticeable reduction in gasoline and diesel prices is expected as of next Monday.
According to the first data from the industry, a serious decrease is at hand, around 12 cents per liter of diesel and 12.5 cents per liter of gasoline. If these predictions are fully reflected at the pump, we will have experienced one of the biggest weekly discounts we have witnessed in recent months.
How Much Difference Will It Make Per Warehouse?
With a little calculation, the reflection of the situation on our pocket is quite clear: Considering a standard 50-liter tank, it will be possible to save approximately 6 Euros on diesel and 6.25 Euros on gasoline. Those who will go on a long journey at the weekend or are in a hurry to fill their tank should wait until Monday.
To talk about the current picture, according to DGEG data, the average price per liter of diesel is 2,051 € and the liter of 95 octane gasoline is around 1,980 €. As you know, although the reference prices of the regulatory agency ERSE are clear, each station is free to determine its own price. Therefore, it will still be possible to see small differences between stations.
Pay Attention to Tax Adjustment
Of course, it would be useful to make a small caveat. The government has been making frequent adjustments to the fuel tax (ISP) in order to balance the recent fluctuations in global markets. If there is a new change in tax rates until Monday, there may be minor shifts in this 12 cent discount figure. Still, the overall picture is sure to make us smile.
It's a good idea to use the last drops in the tank sparingly until Monday!
