A 24-year-old female firefighter died while fighting the fire in Resende.

A 24-year-old female firefighter from Bombeiros Voluntários de Resende, who intervened in the forest fire in Resende in the Viseu region of Portugal, died due to severe injuries she received when a tree fell on her.

The fire started in the Barrô area on Thursday evening. The young firefighter was seriously injured while fighting the fire and died while being transported to the hospital.
