Their target is the luxury watch belonging to the victim, worth thousands of euros. They get what they want and disappear as quickly as they came. Luckily, the tourist did not put up any resistance and escaped without any physical injury. But it is certain that he experienced serious panic due to the shock of the incident.

The "Rolex Gang" Turned the Route to the South

We actually encounter such cases of motorcycle snatching and robbery more often in crowded centers of big cities such as Lisbon or Porto. In fact, these groups are commonly referred to as the "Rolex Gang" among the public; But don't be fooled by their name, when they see any luxury watch that shines on the wrist, they don't really look at its brand. Apparently, they took advantage of the busy summer season and the wealthy holidaymakers flocking to the region and changed their route from the crowded city to the south, to the Algarve.

Motorcycle Found Abandoned

Immediately after the incident, police teams began to scour the security cameras in the area. The motorcycle used by the robbers was found abandoned a short time later and is now under detailed forensic examination. Any trace or fingerprint found there could change the course of the investigation.
