Portimão Riverside Street Food: Food Truck Festival Returns

If you are on the Algarve side in August and looking for a pleasant, unhurried plan for the evening, there is good news. Portimão's riverside (Zona Ribeirinha) comes alive with street food and live music for four evenings.

The Portimão FoodTruck festival, which was held for the first time last summer and attracted a lot of attention, opens its doors for the second time this year between 20 - 23 August.

Both Portuguese and World Cuisine Open Air

At the event, which will last from Thursday evening to Sunday, colorful food trucks will be lined up along the river. There is a chance to try both Portugal's popular street snacks and flavors from different world cuisines outdoors. Moreover, it is not just limited to food; Live music and entertainment programs accompanying the evening also liven up the atmosphere.

Ideal Location to Combine with an Evening Walk

The biggest advantage of the event is that it is held right by the river. You can take a quiet walk by the water before or after your meal, and from there you can easily go to the center of Portimão. On the busiest days of summer, it is a very good alternative to spend the evening without being stuck indoors.
