Inflation in Portugal increased to 3.6 percent: above the Eurozone average

Annual inflation in Portugal rose to 3.6 percent in August 2026. Eurostat's final data shows that the price increase rate in the country remains above the Eurozone average.

According to Eurostat, annual inflation in the Eurozone was 3.2 percent in August.

Energy is again an important factor

Services and energy made the biggest contribution to August inflation across the Eurozone.

In the Eurostat calculation, the contribution of services to annual inflation was 1.43 points, while the contribution of energy was 1.29 points.
