Planned water cuts in Portugal this week: Which regions will be affected?

Temporary water outages were planned in various regions of Portugal between 21 and 25 September due to maintenance, network works, reservoir cleaning and fault repairs.

The cuts do not cover all municipalities. Interventions are limited to specific neighborhoods, streets or sections of waterworks.

One of the officially verifiable outages today is in Sobral da Adiça, Moura municipality.

According to the announcement published by the Municipality of Moura on the morning of September 21, the municipality's water and sewage services will temporarily cut off the water to repair a pipe fault.

The municipality explained the reason for the outage as the repair of a fault in the network.

There are also works in other regions throughout the week.

Planned network interventions and temporary water outages are also announced in Sintra, Aveiro region and other settlements during the 21-25 September period.

However, the time of each outage and the streets it covers are different.

For this reason, just because a municipality is on the outage list does not mean that the water of all subscribers in the municipality will be cut off.

Reasons for outages are not the same

Planned water cuts can be made for different reasons.
