Night warning to those who will use Ponte 25 de Abril: Lanes will be closed for five days

An important traffic regulation is coming for drivers who will use the Ponte 25 de Abril between Lisbon and Almada at night.

Lusoponte announced that traffic restrictions will be applied at night between 21 and 25 September due to the asphalt renewal works on the bridge.

Works between 22.00–06.00

Asphalt renewal works will be carried out on the bridge deck within the scope of the maintenance program.

The works will be carried out between 22.00 at night and 06.00 in the morning.

The bridge will not be completely closed to traffic, but some lanes will be temporarily unavailable.

Pay special attention to the nights of September 21 and 22

The most serious restriction will be applied on the nights of September 21 and 22.

According to Lusoponte's statement, two traffic lanes will need to be closed in both directions of the bridge at the same time during these two nights.

This may lead to longer journey times than usual for drivers using the bridge, especially around 22:00 when work begins and in the early morning hours.

The bridge will remain open

Ponte 25 de Abril will not be completely closed during the works.

Traffic will continue in a controlled manner from the remaining lanes.

Lusoponte advises drivers to plan their trips in advance.
