Figueira da Foz theft again..this time from taps..

Maiorca village... There has been an unpleasant activity in this quiet place lately that he is not used to. In the east of Figueira da Foz, a few events took place that cast a shadow over the atmosphere of that beautiful neighborhood where everyone knows each other. The process, which started last week with the dismantling and theft of all the taps in the village cemetery, continued this week with their entry into a house right next to the church center and the theft attempt in a chapel. When the news reached Lusa, frankly, I started to follow it closely. Village Council President Nuno Santos also touches on exactly this point: "We definitely do not want to create an unnecessary panic, but now everyone needs to lock their doors and take extra precautions." The local government (Junta) also published a warning on its official Facebook page with the title "Public Announcement - Call for Attention and Precautions". The summary is very clear: If you see a suspicious vehicle or person around homes or workplaces, keep your eyes open. Now we come to the most important part: Do not intervene yourself: When you notice a suspicious situation or movement, do not attempt to intervene alone. Call the authorities: The Quiaios GNR (National Republican Guard) is looking after the area. If you notice something strange and want to inform the authorities, you can directly call the police station's landline (233 209 320). Don't pay attention to street patrol/militia rumors: Nuno Santos has clearly blocked these claims. He reassured us by saying, "We are not at that point yet, there is no such situation or danger as groups trying to achieve their own justice on the streets." He is already negotiating to increase GNR patrols in the region.
