Unfortunately, there is again annoying news for those who are thinking of filling the tank next week. When we get to the pump in the week of July 27th and August 2nd, new price hikes are on the way that will hit the wallets a little harder. According to the latest forecasts of the Portuguese Automobile Club (ACP), diesel prices are expected to increase by 9 cents per liter and gasoline prices by 3 cents. If these predictions are reflected in the field, the average diesel price will climb to the level of 2.05 € per liter, while gasoline will push the psychological limit and reach the average level of 2.00 €. In other words, we will see the 2 Euro threshold again for both main fuel types. Of course, as always, it is important to underline: These figures may show slight last-minute changes depending on instantaneous fluctuations in the crude oil market. In addition, it is normal to see a few cent differences on the signboard depending on the brand of the station where you will open a warehouse, the region it is located in and the discounts it offers. Those who are going on a trip or whose tanks are about to run out should fill their tanks on Sunday without waiting until Monday, if possible, so that you can at least avoid this increase a little.
