The National Anti-Drug Unit (UNCTE) of Portugal’s Judicial Police launched the 'Doca Seca' operation in the municipality of Seixal, targeting coastal warehouses used to assemble high‑speed boats for drug smuggling.

Agents seized four fully equipped speedboats, twelve 300‑horsepower outboard engines and approximately 6,600 liters of fuel, and detained eleven men suspected of involvement in the trafficking network.

Authorities warned that the seized facilities were likely part of a larger production line for vessels destined for international drug routes, prompting plans for intensified maritime surveillance along Portugal’s coast.
