Chega seeks PJ, PSP and Public Prosecutor communications on Luís Neves in CPI
Correio da Manhã (CM)

Chega has formally asked the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) to provide all communications related to Luís Neves, the former director of the Judicial Police (PJ) and current Interior Minister, arguing that these records are essential for uncovering the truth.

The request covers e‑mails, instant messages, meeting minutes and internal memos exchanged between Neves, PJ’s financial director Álvaro Pires, PJ’s leadership and the construction firm Construbarcelos, as well as correspondence with the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP).

André Ventura emphasized that obtaining these documents is crucial for public transparency and for identifying any potential irregularities in Neves’s policy decisions. The CPI is expected to review the request in upcoming sessions.
