Strike calendar
A strike notice is different from an observed interruption. A long date range does not establish full closure all day, every day.
Red denotes an evidenced operator disruption/closure announcement or verified absence of minimum services; yellow requires verified minimum services. Expected closure and reported actual interruption have separate labels. A percentage such as 25–50% is never assumed. Blue may also mean service arrangements are unconfirmed. Scope summaries explain the notice; the full Portuguese source remains authoritative.

Source announcements
A headline or PDF link was found, but the event date or scope could not safely be added to the calendar. Read the original Portuguese headline and open the source. This is not a definitive list of future strikes.
Source access status
Reaching a source does not mean every strike there has been extracted. Unavailable sources show gaps in coverage. Há Greve is a supporting aggregator, not a government institution.

How to read it
- Announced: an institution or union has published a notice. This does not establish that the strike is taking place, every worker is participating or the institution is closed.
- Date range: the period covered by a notice. Particularly for long periods, specific shifts, overtime or occupational groups may be involved.
- Minimum services: no decision found is not reported as “none”. Check the full decision and the operator’s implementation notice. CES/DGERT links may appear under source announcements.
- Cancellation or suspension: recorded only when explicitly stated by the source. Disappearance from a list is not proof of cancellation. Unavailable sources retain the previous record with an outdated-information label.
- Scope: an unclear location is not converted into nationwide impact. A short original Portuguese scope description is shown.
- Updates: the page requests data every ten minutes. Sources are checked in small rotating batches, each with its own timestamp. Generating the JSON does not mean every event was freshly reconfirmed.
- Advance notice: Labour Code Article 534 specifies at least five working days, or ten in the cases covered by Article 537(1). Additional public-employment rules may apply.
Before setting out
General information only. Coverage is not exhaustive. Participation, minimum services, cancellations and actual interruptions may change at short notice. Confirm travel or administrative decisions against the relevant institution’s current announcement.
